The purpose of the Pension Funds Adjudicator is to resolve disputes in a procedurally fair, economical and expeditious manner. The adjudicator's office investigates and determines complaints of abuse of power, maladministration, disputes of fact or law and employer dereliction of duty in respect of pension funds.
The Pension Funds Adjudicator is a specialist tribunal that
aspires to be a respected institution that makes binding and final determinations in pension fund complaints submitted to it in terms of the ACT.
The mission of the OPFA is to resolve complaints in terms of the ACT in order to uphold the integrity of the pension fund industry and to protect the interests of pension fund members.
